Sims 4 Royalty Mod

Royalty Mod in the Sims 4 Family

The Sims franchise focused on contemporary life in most of the mods. The mods mainly focus on dating, having butlers, turning into werewolves, bustling modern cities and so much more.

The Sims has a large international player base. The mods are quite reflective, of life in the United States, with an occasional pack, like Sims 4 Island living, or Sims 4 Snowy Escape, offering a look at a few other cultures.

But, there is an exception: The Medieval that came in the form of a spin-off game.

Sims 4 Medieval

After two years of the beginning of Sims 3, the Sims 4 medieval was first launched for PC and Mac in 2011. In the later years, it was available for Nokia windows phones also.

Sims Medieval was aimed to be an independent and self-contained game, that is not supposed to replace Sims 3. It was set in a total medieval era where the players can form kingdoms, embark on quests, and become a hero among the common people. Nobles and royalty were of course elemental to this game, but some things, including character customization, ambitions (not entirely unlike aspirations), and a degree of character and build customization felt familiar and in line with Sims games.

How to Install Sims 4 Royalty Mod?

Installing the Sims Royalty mod is just similar to all the other mods of Sims 4, but it has ad hoc and pivotal steps.

  1. Begin by downloading the file package from Patreon that is absolutely free.
  2. Download the XML Injector. Make sure to install this one as the mod won’t work without this.
  3. If you have previously downloaded or instaled the Sims 4 Royalty mod, ensure to delete all the files before downloading the updated package.

Primary Requirements

Along with the XML injector, to get the best experience of Sims 4 Royalty Mod, have the Sims 4 Get Famous expansion pack. Technically speaking, a few features will work without it, the main gameplay, including reputation, requires this expansion pack. Hence, the Sims 4 Royalty mod is not recommended for the ones who don’t have that expansion pack.

Also, keep in mind that a high number of mods can slow down your game, and the more mods you have and the more expansive those mods are, the more likely you may experience issues with performance; you’ll have to test this in your individual game.

CAS Items

CAS items, buying, and building are not the main focus here in the Sims 4 royalty mod. There are a few little things to enhance your gaming experience.

Buy Items

Build/ Steal includes some nice items to create a royal and authentic kingdom. It is not extensive, but it adds the aesthetic appeal of the kingdom.

Easel Replacements

This is an optional course file that changes all the classic paintings to portraits of Sim monarchs.

Music Boxes

Music boxes are aesthetic and useful. Their behavior is the same as that of the radios in the game. The varieties include – fairy, , knight, princess, dragon, and pegasus designs.

Chairs

The Sims 4 Royalty mod comes with two chairs
1. a stone knight’s chair.
2. a velvet-trimmed dragon’s chair meant to serve as a throne.

Floors

Two cobblestone floors and pavilion flooring are not only useful for the Royalty mod, but for other builds as well, particularly in worlds like Wittenberg. Other items in this section include decorative and non-functional items such as gold bars, stocks, a coin sack, and a beer cask.

How to Start Royal family?

Monarchs

To start the royal family, the first step is to create a Monarch sim. It is a trait that is found under the ‘Lifestyles‘ group. Firstly, enable the full edit mode by using cas.fulleditmode.

Monarchs are considered the most important Sims. They are the head of the family and everyone else has to obey their orders. They have the authority to name their spouse a Royal Partner and offer certain rights to certain sims by appointing their heir.

As is the case with getting Famous, there is a level/ ranking system for reputation. Royals who reach the highest level of reputation become a Beloved Royal; those who are at the lowest level become a Despised Tyrant. Your monarch can be a Beloved Royal or a Despised Tyrant to his people, as with most of the rulers from history. In your gameplay, you will be only one or the other, and the other Sims will act accordingly around you: they will either be happy to see you or they will try to avoid you!

So, once you have the package files in your game, go to CAS and assign your sim, the Monarch trait to get started. You will be having a Royal partner and children who will be given the title of Crown Royals.

Heirs and Children

As a monarch, heirs ensure that your kingdom continues. Children that are born out of wedlock can be titled Illegitimate Royals, but the monarch can opt to allow them to inherit the throne. Children born from the monarch and their Royal Partner still must be declared an heir by the monarch to inherit the throne.

Fighting for the Throne

Unfortunately, if your monarch dies without an heir, this sets the scene for Sims fighting for the throne. This situation makes the gameplay unique, surreal, and dynamic. Sims hope that their heirs build up a reputation and will interact with other sims for support, and promise to be a wonderful and responsible monarch. Their success mostly depends on reputation and relationships with the other people.

Title System (Alterable titles)

The Sims 4 Royalty Mod has an excellent title framework that allows the users to pick custom titles for their sims. Let’s say, For instance, your ruler can have the title of a King, Emperor, Tsar, or a Sultan and their mate Queen, Tsarina, or, Princess.

The titles assigned to the sims keep changing with the course of the game and are not permanent. They can be changed anytime by the king.  He is the one who can change the title of other Sims, for instance, promoting a laborer to a Noble.

Upon receiving the Monarch title, tooltip text will appear over the Sim’s heads, showing the title assigned to them. Certainly, these titles are unbiased and obscure.

There is a ‘Book of Bestowing Titles’ item (search [LN] Book of Bestowing Titles in the list); you can change these. This could also include changing the lingo of that title.

Servants

Servants play an essential role in the Royalty Game. They do most of the work such as household chores, cooking, cleaning, take care of the prince and princess, and so much more. They work like hired maids. Other notable servant titles are royal nannies, court jesters, and court wizards. All of these titles will automatically assign those Sims unique careers/ assignments.

Both, royals and nobles are served by the servants. Select your sim, click on them, and select the option of ‘Call Upon Servants’.
TYou can put them into different roles to best suit your household as per your requirements.

Trusted Advisor and Minister

A ruler holds decisive powers, and this gives him/her the position to patron others. The king in sims 3 and 4 royalty mod can allocate some unique jobs to their co-workers and others around them. These are often called the Trusted Advisors in the game.

  • There is a unique functionality known as The Trusted Advisor, a titlegiven by the king, can be holded by a sim to be their companion in almost all the tasks.
  • Hence the Trusted Advisor plays an essential role in the development of the kingdom, so it is very important to choose the right person.
  • The role of Trusted Advisor comes with a lot of responsibilities, a large number of interactions with the people, and many other aspects. So choosing the right Advisor should be one of the first duties while starting a royal family.
  • If you don’t make any Sim a Counsellor, you can undoubtedly continue playing, but you will miss out on a lot of quintessential things in The Royalty Mod.

Tax System

Monarch controls the taxes entirely. They can raise it or lower it as per their wish. Although raising taxes will cause them to be disliked among the people! While lowering taxes will put them in the good books of the people. Taxes can be collected once every Friday from the Royal Advisor.  Paychecks from taxes arrive every Monday and Thursday.

Your Monarch can also get a new job to have more money. He can leave for a few hours to do royal work and come back with a big sack of cash.

One of the major sources of income for the royal family comes from taxes. Taxes have always created chaos among the people, especially in the case of the chief of state. The Sims 4 mod must feel the same as they have addressed the tax activity in this mod sort of well.

To earn additional income, monarchs can enter the Monarchy Career track that works as a rabbit hole having different career levels. To have more income, monarchs can ask for donations from their citizens. Monarchs have the right to allow markets to run once a week. So, they have the flexibility to manage the entire system and gain money.

Reputation

Reputation tells how beloved a monarch is, and how stable their kingdom is potential. Hence, without the Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion pack, this mod really is not truly functional.

Reputation is influenced by relationships with others for citizens and with monarchs. A monarch’s reputation is highly influenced by the taxes they impose. So, to be loved by the people, play accordingly and gain a high reputation so that your monarch gets the title of Beloved Royal and not Despised Tyrant.

Conclusion

The Sims 4 Royalty mod is creative and provides a fresh gameplay. It is perfect for those who always dreamt of having a royal family, a kingdom to rule, and trying something new. There are so many characters in the game and assets that enhance the overall game playing experience.
